With the application of polymer processing products more and more widely,as well as the continuous improvement of the requirements of the polymer,the twin screw extruder has been developed rapidly.In this paper,a new type of double-screw extruder is a new type of extruder,The screw structure of stepped twin screw extruder is self scanning,good self cleaning and mixed performance,and has a high compression ratio.However,there are not many researches on the stepped rotating twin screw machine at home and abroad,which lack the corresponding theoretical basis.In this paper,the flow and mixing performance of high polymer melt at different rotational speeds of a double screw extruder with a high polymer melt was simulated by Fluent software.The flow rate,shear stress,residence time and the distribution of the flow of the high polymer in the molten state were studied by using the tracer particle method.According to the simulation results,the numerical simulation results are obtained,the flow and mixing performance of the device at different speeds were analyzed,the effects of different rotational speed on the flow and mixing properties of the polymer in the melting stage of a stepped twin screw extruder were obtained.This article is advantageous to the orthogonal experiment method,with process parameters(screw speed,inlet and outlet pressure difference,temperature of cylinder surface)as variable.Simulation of the flow field of the molten section of a stepped twin screw extruder using Fluent software,flow field volume flow,return flow,maximum shear stress,average residence time.By comparing the parameters of each process,it is concluded that the influence of the flow and mixing performance of the stepped twin screw extruder is the size and the optimal solution,based on the optimization of process parameters,the process parameters more reasonable,so as to provide a theoretical reference in the application of ladder shaped twin-screw extruder.
