Cottonseed meal is an excellent plant source of protein, which has higher protein content, but the free gossypol in cottonseed meal and other anti-nutritional factors seriously affect its feeding value.Good strains from the laboratory preservation were used single factor experiment to select three good strains that free gossypol in the degradation of cottonseed meal yeast, bacillus subtilis, lactic acid bacteria.the results of reference orthogonal experiment design showed that the size ratio of the bacteria was determined as 1:2:2.The optimum fermentation conditions with water ratio 0.8:1 were determined that Temperature is 30 ?,inoculation 5.5%,and fermentation time 5d.The content of free gossypol in cottonseed meal decreased from 1173 mg/kg to 175mg/kg,Gossypol detoxification rate reached maximum of 85.11%.Crude protein content reached 43.25%,increased by 4.1% than the content before fermentation.NSI content increased from 14.05% to 23.78%,Lactic acid content increased from 0.02% to 1.6%.Results show that the optimization of fermentation process can effectively reduce the content of gossypol in cottonseed meal, improve protein and the content of lactic acid, provides better use of cottonseed meal with technical support.
