Due to the fast running speed, complex structure and high degree of automation of Printing machine, once the machine breaks down, it will waste a large number of materials in a short time, and maintenance is difficult, which puts forward a higher request to the experience of maintainer. Therefore, to repair the printing machine failures rapidly is a serious challenge for production enterprises and equipment manufacturers. Given that the printing machines have a wide distribution and are difficult to be maintained in reality, combined with the characteristics of the printer's faults, this paper carried out the research based on the Internet of things technology to realize the remote detection and diagnosis maintenance of printing machine. The main research contents are as follows:(1) We summarize the common fault types and characteristics of the printing machine, and the characteristics of the fault diagnosis methods of the existing printing machine are analyzed.(2) A multi-classification model method for printing machine fault diagnosis based on the support vector machine(SVM) is proposed. And then, we optimize the model parameters based on the Lib SVM, which proves to have a higher classification accuracy simulated by using MATLAB.(3) According to the fault diagnosis process of printing machine, a prototype of remote diagnosis system of printing machine is developed based on Internet of things and Java Web technology, which applies the My SQL 5.5and Netbeans software. It can realize the online monitoring and remote diagnosis to the printing machines, solving the problem that the printing machines are widely distributed and difficult to be maintained.
