Today,the acrylonitrile industry achieves considerable economic benefits with the exteding of downstream industry chain and the stable of MMA market.But at the same time,the treatment of waste acid water,the byproduct of the acrylonitrile industry,comes to be a big problem.The constitution of the waste acid water is very complicated—containing 20%sulfuric acid,52%ammonium bisulfate,24%water and a few heavy constituents.Burning the waste acid water directly needs great investments;while by reacting the waste acid water with liquid ammonia to make ammonium sulphate is also costly.There is an adwanced technology which can turn the waste acid water produced by the MMA plant into sulfuric acid products supporting the MMA plant as raw material by concentrating,burning,purifying,transforming and absorbing of the waste water.This process establishs the recycle of sulftur and reduces the pollution.At the same time,good economic and social benefits were produced by the process.
