Permanent magnet synchronous electric spindle(PMSES)is a key component of high precision CNC machine tools,which provides the driving force for the machining to cut and work.The noise and vibration caused by the PMSES seriously affect the service life and working precision of CNC machine tools.The magnetic of the PMSES can produce the excitation magnetic field,and its structural parameters have important influence on the torque ripple and the cogging torque of the PMSES.The optimization of the magnetic pole parameters can reduce the torque ripple and the cogging torque of the PMSES,then it can reduce the vibration noise of the PMSES.Therefore,the study of magnetic pole parameters of the PMSES has a great practical significance.the air gap magnetic field of the PMSES is simulated by finite element software ANSYS.the radial electromagnetic force of the stator inner surface of the air gap magnetic field and the tangential electromagnetic force of the rotor outer surface of the air gap magnetic field are calculated.The calculated results are Spectrum analyzed,too.The result shows that the amplitude of the radial electromagnetic force is much larger than the tangential electromagnetic force.The amplitude of the lower harmonic of the electromagnetic force is much higher than the higher harmonic amplitude.When the triangular,rectangular,fan-shaped chamfering area is equal,the effect of triangular chamfer on the torque ripple of the PMSES is the most obvious.In addition,when the magnet pole arc parameter is optimized to 0.866,the torque ripple and cogging torque of the PMSES also decreased.The modal analysis of the stator,front cover,back cover and the whole machine of the PMSES are carried out,then the corresponding key components of the modal vibration and natural frequency are obtained.It is found that the natural frequency of the key components is far from the radial electromagnetic force frequency,so the PMSES is in good condition.The Maxwell software is coupled with ANSYS software to simulate the vibration and noise of the PMSES in the triangular cutting angle parameters.The simulation results show that the noise peak of the point which is 1000 mm from the center of the PMSES reduced by 1.9143 dB compared with the original prototype,and the optimization effect is obvious.
