This paper is based on the EBZ132 type roadheader cutting reducer as the research object. The reducer is a kind of two stage planetary gear reduction system, which has the advantages of compact structure, small size, large transmission ratio and high reliability. As a rusult of the reducer locate in the roadheader, which is mainly used for coal mining and tunnel mining, and its working environment is harsh and complicated, and the reducer gear train meshing impact, the reducer will generate great vibration and radiated noise caused by the vibration. The reducer's vibration will affect their stability and safety, and even lead to the damage of its components. Therefore, it is necessary to make the research of vibration and noise reduction.This paper firstly analyzes the principle of the gear generating vibration and noise, and discover that the reducer of vibration and noise that is mainly caused by the dynamic meshing force of gear. The force is mainly affected by stiffness and error excitation and the gear meshed excitation. The vibration and noise of reducer of internal gear has passed through the solid sound to the reducer box, which cause the gear box forced vibration and noise radiation. In order to analyze the vibration and noise of the gear reducer, firstly the gear error of planetary gear reducer is analyzed, which makes the result that the gear profile error has a great influence on the vibration and noise of the gear reducer, and it is a random variable with normal distribution regularity. Then MATLAB software is used to draw the programming to acquire reducer gear profile involute curve with the gear profile error of gear, so as to establish the error model of the actual situation. Then taking related software to make the dynamic analysis of the reducer. Among them, using the ADAMS software analyse the dynamic characteristics of the planetary gear reducer, which can gain the dynamic meshing force curve of the error gear. In the Workbench software, I have made the modal analysis and vibration response analysis for the reducer box, and gain the vibration response amplitude frequency characteristic curve and the natural vibration characteristics of the reducer box. Finally I have applied the acoustic simulation software LMS Virtual.Lab of the acoustic boundary element model for the gear reducer's noise simulation analysis, and obtained the radiation noise of reducer as well as the acoustic panel of the reducer box radiation contribution value. According to the analysis of reducer vibration response analysis and acoustic panel contribution analysis results of reducer box, the location where vibration and noise are larger is added parallel ribs, staggered rib and different thickness of the damping layer, and the comparative analysis of the control effect of these different improvement schemes of the reducer's vibration and noise. By comparing the noise simulation analysis results of before and after the improvement of the reducer, obtained the result that when the staggered rid and damping layer with 4mm is added on the reducer box, which is the most reasonable improve method of improved cut down the vibration and noise of reducer.
