Improving the automatic and intelligent level of the die casting auxiliary machine is important to improve the efficiency of die casting production, reduce the labor intensity and stabilize casting quality.Thus,we plan to invent a Cartesian coordinates robot that can pick and spray for 280 T die casting machine, and an control system of the robot was also developed.Determine the overall design requirements, the robot body is required to have seven degrees of freedom, the choice of location accuracy better arms Cartesian structure.According to each robot axis stroke, speed and location accuracy requirements, design a robotic drive mechanism, the core source of power, a support member, actuators and system control units. Related components were calculated selection, verification of all critical components Creo and ANSYS Workbench simulation and optimization of the structure, and the five-link mechanical gripper mechanism were ADAMS dynamics simulation.The robot uses PLC closed-loop control with fault display functions.The Mitsubishi FX3U-80MR/ES-A type PLC was selected as the control core, and a digital rectangular coordinate system was established by servo motors,through its control of four AC servo motor driven ball screw to establish an automated robot system that allows the robotic arm accurately and reliably positioned to move in three directions XYZ; two three-phase AC motor control to achieve the pickup gripper module and spray blowing rotational movement;a stepping motor precision positioning the pickup arm rotating stacking three rotation position when casting; control telescopic cylinder head and opening and closing, to achieve the pickup and spray blowing operation; Mitsubishi PLC by using an A/D converter module extension line communication with the infrared thermometer LSCI-SJG, real-time online monitoring of collection cavity temperature, to determine whether the need to adjust the size of the spray blowing.This control system had been installed and verified that it can automatically finish picking, spraying action within 19.5 seconds,the efficiency increased by 50%.Research results show that the system was highly precise and flexible and can significantly improvethe efficiency of the operation, reduce the labor intensity.
