At present, the welding technology has had tremendous development at home and abroad. The development of welding technology is moving toward automation, intelligence, and integrated networks in the future. However, survey of some universities about welding instruction revealed that most welding equipment for instruction is manual arc welding, and only in a few cases they use single function automatic welding equipment to teach, and only for specific occasions. Because of this, the main purpose of this paper is to study a set of automated welding teaching equipment that has a certain function to meet the needs for instruction in average colleges and universities.First, I researched the welding teaching equipment on the market, and analyzed the demand for welding teaching in colleges and universities, and determined the needed function of the welding equipment. The needed function includes three parts: automatic intersecting line welding, automatic welding in plane and real time analysis of stress and strain in welding process. And I designed the overall scheme of welding equipment, including the overall scheme of the mechanical structure, the overall scheme of the electric control system, and the overall scheme of the software.Second, according to the motion demand of the welding equipment, the detailed structure of welding equipment was determined. And six-axis synchronal was adopted and the key parts of the structure were selected and designed in detail. At the same time, the mathematical model of intersecting line welding and welding in plane was established. In the development environment of VC6.0, I combined with the function of the Googol motion controller library and Windows dynamic link library, completing the program of intersecting line welding experiment and the plane welding experimentFinally, the control system of the automatic welding machine was established, including the motion controller as the control core, using PC for man-machine interface and the standard PCI bus interface for data communication. At the same time, the static strain gauge sends the strain data collected during the welding to the PC through the USB communication port. And the changes of the stress are displayed in the software interface.After debugging the welding equipment, it can automatically weld intersecting lines and weld in plane, and monitor the change of the stress during the welding. The automatic welding equipment meets the teaching requirements of most colleges and universities for automatic welding, which contributes to the development of welding instruction in china. |
