Research On The Low-Temperature Demulsification Technology Of High Emulsified Crude Oil

With the yearly development of oil fields, moisture content of crude oil is on the continuous rise, oil production is reduced, gas consumption for per tonnage of oil has increased , and the treatment cost for produced fluid of crude oil is increasing year by year. The most direct and effective measure to reduce catchment and dehydration energy consumption is to reduce the catchment and dehydration temperature,but one of the technical problems confronted is demulsification at low temperature.The demulsification temperature of demulsifier used in Central Treating Station A is 55 -60? , and application of it in low-temperature gathering and transportation of high-emulsified crude oil can not achieve the desired demulsification effect, in that : firstly, the low-temperature demulsification efficiency of the conventional demulsifier is low and fails to achieve viscosity reduction and drag reduction, causing the overload operation of the oil transport equipment, increasing the energy consumption, and intensifying the difficulties of crude oil gathering and transportation; secondly, the poor low-temperature demulsification effect of conventional demulsifier and reduced dehydration temperature lead to high moisture content in crude oil and high oil content in water after free release at first stage, increasing the difficulty in sewage treatment. Furthermore, high moisture-content crude oil enters into the electrochemical dehydration treatment at second stage, increasing the heat loss of the heating furnace and the electric consumption of the electrical dehydrator.In order to reduce the demulsification temperature of crude oil in Central Treating Station A, low-temperature demulsification technology research was carried out. Through the indoor experiment and field test, the low-temperature dehydration demulsifier for Central Treating Station A was developed,reducing the dehydration temperature,realizing the low-temperature gathering and transportation of crude oil, and achieving the purpose of saving energy and reducing consumption.
