Garbage Disposal Participation Of Rural Residents

With rapid development of economy,environmental governance has been a critical issue in China during the past couple of years.There have been more and more environmental violence led by public citizen,which shows communication gap between government and public.Environmental service,served as public goods,is always not sufficient enough and meet public’s demand,if supplied by government only.Public participation is important in environment governance and public should play his/her role proactively.Rural garbage pollution became one of key issue in rural environment governance.The common issue in rural area environmental governance are weak participation awareness and negative participation attitude.To improve the effectiveness of rural garbage governance,it’s important to improve public’s willingness of participation.Based on field research and survey,this paper investigates and analyses the impact factors of rural residents participation attitude such as Gender,Age and Press,by methodology of reliability test and regress analysis.To further investigate into the interaction between Participation Cognition,Attitude and Behavior,this paper use mediating effect model to prove,that participation attitude plays mediating effect between participation cognition and behavior,which means attitude is the real factor push behavior of participation.This paper provides corresponding insights on effective methodology to improve the effectiveness of rural area public participation.For example,government should propose to improvement effectiveness of public participation attitude through different methodology,based on different factor of publics.Besides,media is one of the most effective methodology to improve the public participation attitude.Also,government should focus more on improvement or enhancement of public participation attitude since public participation attitude is the direct factor impact public participation behavior most.
