With the rapid development of China’s social economy and the improvement of people’s material life,the waste of resources and environmental pollution problems are increasingly prominent.China’s economy steps into the "new normal" phase,sustainable development is a long-term challenge to social development.Eco-efficiency takes into account both the economic and environmental benefits,which represents the relationship between the economic value of the social activities and the environmental impact caused by social activities.Based on this,in this paper,the eco-efficiency is used to measure the sustainability of economic development,and try to examine the relationship between eco-efficiency and innovation capability from the perspective of innovation.Firstly,this paper briefly describes the background and significance of eco-efficiency.Then,referring to the research achievements of eco-efficiency and innovation capability,this paper introduces the developing process of the concept of eco-efficiency.The general conclusion is that although scholars define and explain the eco-efficiency of different,but the basic idea is to maximize the socio-economic value at the same time,the resource consumption and pollution emissions and waste emissions are minimized.Secondly,this paper introduces the present situation of ecological environment in China,and eco-efficiency evaluation index system was constructed.Then,the coupling degree model and the coupling coordination degree model were established.Finally,the coupling coordination degree on eco-efficiency and innovation capability of 30 provinces and cities in China was analyzed during 2007-2014.Through empirical analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)In 2007-2014,China’s average ecological efficiency was about 0.697.With the increasing contradiction between economic development and environmental protection,the eco-efficiency has shown a downward trend.(2)In terms of the four major economic sectors,there are significant regional differences in the degree of coupling and coupling between eco-efficiency and innovation capability of the four plates.The degree of coordination in the eastern region shows a trend of rising from the poles to the middle.The central region of the coupling coordination degree to the inland areas is lower,but 8years showed a rising trend overall.The majority of the western regions are imbalance;more to the northwest development imbalance is more serious.(3)Innovation is the key factor to promote China’s ecological civilization construction and improve ecological efficiency. |
