It is difficult to treat the rubber accelerator wastewater to reach the standard by because of its high COD concentration, high salt content, poor biodegradability. Moreover,the rubber accelerator wastewater contains much non-degradability organic matter. This paper has discussed this question and hope found the suitsble method to dispose the rubber accelerator wastewater.The research object of this work is the wastewater discharged from process of rubber accelerator production. The experiment of coagulation-sodium hypochlorite catalytic oxidation pretreatment of the wastewater has been carried out. The salt is evaporated after the pretreatment. Moreover, recycling tert-butylamine and acidification treatment are before the coagulation- NaCIO catalytic oxidation treatment.The main contents and conclusions of experiments include:(1) Acidification treatment, the experimental results show that: The COD removal rate of the rubber accelerator wastewater is 26.09%, and the chroma is decreased under the aeration condition, pH=3 and the reaction time is 120min.(2) Coagulation treatment, the experimental results show that: the primary and secondary order of the main factors which effect the rubber accelerator wastewater treatment by coagulation process are PAC dosage > pH > PAM dosage. The optimal operation parameters are: pH=8,PAC dosage of 1000m g·L-1,PAM dosage of 8m g·L-1 and the COD removal rate of the wastewater is 31.97%.(3) NaCIO catalytic oxidation treatment, the experimental results show that: the primary and secondary order of the main factors which effect the rubber accelerator wastewater treatment by NaClO catalytic oxidation process are NaCIO dosage > activated carbon dosage > reaction time > pH. The optimal operation parameters are: pH=4, NaClO dosage of lOmL·L-1, carbon dosage of 20g·L-1, reaction time is 1h and the COD removal rate of the wastewater is 51.27%. Based on the experimental results, determine the pretreatment process of the rubber accelerator wastewater is as follows:wastewater--recycling tert--butylamine--acidification--NaClO catalytic oxidation. The total COD removal rate of the rubber accelerator wastewater can reach 76.25%, and the treatment effect is favorable.(4) Evaporation of salt process, the experimental results show that: The major factors that affect the quality of condensate water are the volatilization of organic matter and steam entrainment in the tempestuous ebullition. As a result,the water quality of condensate from initial and later evaporation stage is terrible while the water quality of condensate from middle evaporation stage is favorable. Therefore, it is feasible to separate collect and utilize the condensate from different evaporation stage. So that, try to select the condensate of middle evaporation stage in the actual project. And avoid the condensate of initial and later evaporation stage to pollute condensate on the reuse. Evaporation of the salt is with mainly the presence of NaCl and the purity can reach 99.542%, as well, the salt is white.
