It is difficult to treat the rubber accelerator wastewater to reach the standard by physical chemistry process, moreover the movement cost is higher; the rubber accelerator wastewater contains much non-degradability organic matter,bad biodegradability, as well as change in water flow and quality, therefore it is not very ideal to treat this wastewater by the bio-chemistry method. This paper has discussed this question and hope found the suitable method to government the rubber accelerator wastewater.The research object of this work is the wastewater discharged from process of rubber accelerator production. An experiment of iron-carbon micro-electrolysis, coagulation-anaerobic hydrolysis acidification and two step contact oxidation bio-treatment of the wastewater has been carried out to study the relationship between the treatment effects and pH, the quality of iron and carbon, retention time, amount of catalyst added, the current density, the grads of voltage, the space between the electrode and aeration on the whole technology. The result shows that its CODCr removal efficiency is 60.7%, salinity removal efficiency is 41.7%, when pH of influent is 4.0, the quality of iron and carbon is 1:1, retention time is 45 min, amount of catalyst added is 0.1%, the current density is 31.8mA/cm2 , the grads of voltage is 6V/cm, the space between the electrode is 5cm and the aeration installment is running. Through micro-electrolysis-coagulation-anaerobic hydrolysis acidification pretreatment, the BOD/COD increases from 0.2 to 0.65, and the biodegradability is improved greatly, which is benefit for the bio-treatment. In addition, the process of reaction conforms to the first-order kinetic equation.The field experiment is carried on based on the laboratory result and determines the feasibility of this process. The field data show that the CODCr removal efficiency of the wastewater is about 70% by micro-electrolysis pretreatment process. The effect of biological treatment maintains about 30%-45%, and CODCr concentration in the effluent is about 600mg/L. The budget of ton water treatment cost is 3.2 Yuan /t.
