As the key part of the machine tools,the slide guides play an important role to improve the performance of machine tools. At present, due to low friction, high load,high stiffness and easy installation, the rolling guides are widely used in machine tools, but the vibration resistance of rolling guide is poor. Hydrostatic guideways have better damping characteristics and the motion precision than rolling guides, but traditional hydrostatic guideways have higher cost, installation and debugging difficulty,wide space and poor universality. So integrated the advantages of two kinds of guide rail a compact oil hydrostatic guideway was designed. And Series of compact oil hydrostatic guideway were designed, and dynamic and static characteristics were analysised.Based on the hydrostatic design principle, three series of compact oil hydrostatic guideway(JC45/JC55 and JC65) was designed, in rolling guide structure size for seriation design parameters. And a new restrictor which was an important part of a hydrostatic support was designed. The restrictor is a type of aperture restrictor which can continuously adjust the throttling ratio. The adjusting range of the throttling ratio is 1.5?3. In addition, based on the theory of hydrostatic guideway performance analysis, the performance of the compact oil hydrostatic guideway were analyzed. And analysis showed that, the bearing capacity and stiffness performance of different series of compact oil hydrostatic guideway increased with the number of guide series, and the relationship was nonlinear.Based on the elastic deformation of structure theory and fluid lubrication theory,fluid-structure coupling stiffness model of compact hydrostatic guideway was set up.Through the analysis of the model, found that the deformation of structure leads to a decline in stiffness properties. Then, to reduce the influence of deformation on the stiffness performance, three aspects was discussed from changing structure of the slider parameters, compensation structure deformation and adjust the throttle ratio.Analysis shows that the increased width of slider can effectively reduce the slider deformation, deformation compensation can effectively improve the guideway stiffness, and when the deformation impact throttle ratio little, adjusting throttling ratio impact the guideway stiffness little.The dynamic model of compact hydrostatic guideway workbench was established, by the oil pad equivalent to the spring damping system. Dynamic and static stiffness and the step load transition time of the same series of compact hydrostatic guideway workbench with different dimensions and different series of compact hydrostatic guideway workbench were studied. The study found that the dynamic and static rigidity and step response time of different series of the same size of table increased with the number of guide series. For the same series of the workbench , change the workbench's specific size can change the workbench in a specific direction on the dynamic and static performance and response time, and the larger the structure, the larger the dynamic and static stiffness, the longer step response time.
