This paper combined with the actual situation that tailings discharge process will probably damage the stability of dam body,after analysis various factors that affect fluid flow pattern,the writer proposed some advice about improving tailings device and designed a series of reasonable tailings discharge device.This study use a numerical simulation software named FLUENT to have a numerical simulation for the terminal slurry pipeline,and have a quantitative analysis of the kinetic energy and flow velocity of tailings slurry in different initial speed,pipe roughness,the pulp density and tailings particle size.It researched the flow field of the improved tailings discharge device to optimize the ore device,and ensure that it could have a good draining and sedimentary effect.In this paper,the achievements we've made as follows.(1)It summarized the influence factors of tailings discharging effect,the influence factors of tailing discharging effect is varied,but the shape of the device is an important influence factor which has not been researched.(2)FLUENT is applied to the study about tailings discharging of liquid-solid flow,through the pipeline modeling and numerical simulation,the flow effect of tailings slurry is explored,and we've known the effect to the flow in different initial speed,pipe roughness,the pulp density and tailings particle size.(3)The improved tailings discharging terminal have a good perform relatively the straight tube type one,the funnel type of the energy dissipation ratio can reach more than 0.5,the spray type of the energy dissipation ratio can reach more than 0.2.(4)Proposed a series of new device with good shape and form to maintain the stability of the dam body,and designed three kinds of tailings discharging device which can weakening the dam body wash effect,and combined with the results of FLUENT simulation,the further optimization Suggestions are put forward.
