As the steel market has been increasingly saturated,the competition among steel enterprises becomes fiercer and the requirements for steel products of high quality becomes more urgent.Desulfurization is a vital process in producing high quality steel.Desulfurization by injecting method is one of the most common and typical methods.This article is originated from the model of An-Steel and tries to make an improvement with existing lance by optimize the structure.By mathematical methods and CFD simulations,this article investigates the flow field and temperature field of several lance models during injections and gets a deeper insight in moving mechanism and temperature changes in the process,which is very important for optimizing the injection technology.This article chooses the existing injection lance using by An-Steel as research target and compares it with other desulfurization methods and other lance models.It also performs many calculations and derivations,thus gains an optimizing blueprint.By using CFD software,this article simulates the multiphase flow field which helps us to investigate the inner moving mechanisms of both air phase and steel phase,and observe the stirring actions with injection velocity of 8m/s and 10m/s.The efficiency of desulfurization largely depends on the stirring action given by air phase.The moving mechanisms and diffusions actions of the desulfurizer particles are also observed by simulating the discrete phase with optimized model.After analyzing the multiphase flow field and discrete phase coupled with multiphase,this article verifies the rationality and advantage of the optimized lance structure.The working condition for injections is very severe.Considering the extreme condition,this article assumes that there are five working cycles for an injection process.During each cycle,there exists two working period which are injection phase and natural cooling.Each of the phase lasts for half an hour.It is important to simulate the temperature fields of the injection lance depended on the practical situations of the process.This article chooses a certain cut section and simulates the temperature field of the typical part which helps us to investigate whether the maximum temperaturedifference exists in the most important part of the injection lance.At the same time,we can also analyze the temperature distribution and fluctuation of each part the structure with the intention to know the distributions of thermal stress.
