CO₂ Mitigation Contribution Of China’s Renewable Energy Equipment Export To Countries Around Maritime Silk Road

The paper chooses the countries around 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road as study objects,and analyses the renewable energy development demand,finding that most countries around Maritime Silk Road are developing countries,the starting of renewable development is late,but they are still keep broad prospects for development.Through the DGM（2.1）model to forecast the solar and wind power installed capacity supply of countries around 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road,we find that in the future solar and wind power installed capacity supply will have rapid growth,and each of them will realize the breakthrough in amount,indicating the increasing of the demand for renewable energy equipment and trade opportunities.From the perspective of trade,the renewable energy equipment trade between China and countries around 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road,while exports of solar photovoltaic battery power is low,but the export quantity is huge,so at last,the total power generation is bigger than wind turbine.In the expert of wind turbine,the new annual generating capacities are produced by large-scale wind turbine,but the export quantity is very small and import countries are few.From the perspective of CO₂ emission reduction,China’s renewable energy equipment can help these countries to reduce the CO₂ emissions in a certain extent.On the intensity of emission reduction,India,Malaysia,Turkey,Australia have the best carbon emission reduction.There are two reasons,first one is there is a huge trade quantity between China and India,Malaysia and so on.The main reason is that these countries have huge demand of solar photovoltaic battery and also have demand of large-scale wind turbine.In addition,the thermal power generation technologies are undeveloped in some countries,and the efficiency is low,the number of CO₂ emissions per unit of thermal power generation is much higher than the average country,so the CO₂ emission effect is better than the average country.It also reflects that these countries are in urgent needing of transformation of the electricity sector,and the main transformation way is developing renewable energy positively.Based on the above conclusions,this paper argues that the government should pay attention to the changes in renewable energy policies,seize the trade opportunities and support the development of small and medium sized wind power industry.For renewable energy equipment industry,they should do a good job of technological transformation and enhance export strength.
