| In the process of goods transportation, frequent relative sliding will occur between the metal products and the paper-based packaging materials, so that the surface of the packaging material will generate severe friction and wear. In serious cases, metal products will lead to the packaging carton rupture, thereby affecting the safe transport of packaging piece. Therefore,the wear resistance of paper-based packaging materials is an important indicator of the safe transport of goods. In this paper, coating technology is used to modified the paper-based packaging materials(specific method is coat the coating in the inner wall of corrugated carton),so as to achieve the purpose of enhancing the materials’ wear resistance. The main research contents are as follows:(1) Research on the friction and wear properties of paper-based packaging materials.Analyzed the characteristics of paper-based packaging materials, and studied the main wear type of packaging materials. Then obtained the factors affecting the friction and wear properties of paper-based packaging materials.(2) Research on the wear resistance principles of coated paper-based packaging materials.Studied on using coating method to enhance the wear resistance of packaging materials. By analyzing the composition and characteristics of the coating, studied the coating’s lubrication principle and damping principle. Analyzed and compared the microstructure of uncoated and coated liner board, The results show that, the superficial fiber of the coated liner board become compact, and the surface of coated liner board is formed with a smooth coating layer.(3) Studied the effects of different parameters on the wear resistance of paper-based packaging materials, such as coating weight, coating times, basic weight of paper,environmental temperature and humidity. A large number of experimental data show that, the optimal coating weight is 18g/m2, the best coating times is one time, the suitable basic weight of paper is 200g/m2. And the wear resistance of coated packaging materials is less influenced by the environmental temperature and humidity. The study applied for a patent for invention and utility model patent.(4) Experimental study on other properties of coated modified paper-based materials. In the case of improving the wear resistance of coated modified materials, tested and analyzed the tensile strength, bursting strength, folding endurance, ring crush strength and water repellency of the coated modified materials. The results show that, these five properties of the coated modified materials have different degrees of enhancement than the uncoated ordinary packaging materials.(5) The coated modified paperboard were made into corrugated cartons with the size of 467mm×403mm×279mm, and put the microwave product into the cartons. Put the package piece in the vibration test bed for test and study. The test results show that, after 4 hours of wear test (equivalent to the actual transport of 1920km), coated corrugated cartons can still resist friction and wear that caused by metal materials. This research provides a theoretical basis and data support for packaging enterprises to produce the coated paper-based packaging materials with wear resistance. |
