Contaminated soil as a new topic in the field of environmental geotechnical engineering has received wide attention,but the research status at home and abroad shows that there are few studies on the alkali pollution red clay.During the research group conduct an experiment about the bearing capacity of the red clay of the foundation in guizhou aluminum plant,it was found that the ground red clay was seriously polluted because of the waste alkali liquor in alumina production,and the physical mechanical properties were different from the normal red clay.In this case,the red clay was studied by the actual pollution of red clay and indoor simulated alkali in guizhou aluminum plant.Combined with early geological survey data,through the on-site plate load test,the physical and mechanical properties of red clay under actual pollution were studied.On the basis of this,the simulated experiment of undisturbed soil was carried out by considering the time and concentration effect,distilled water,NaOH solution and mother liquor as the pollution source.The changes of the physical and mechanical properties of the red clay under the simulation experiment were analyzed.The paper discusses the mechanism of alkali soil and puts forward some Suggestions for the treatment of soil pollution.The physical and mechanical properties of the red clay in the aluminum plant in Guizhou are shown by the physical and mechanical properties of the contaminated soil in the aluminum plant.The physical properties of the clay are improved and the mechanical properties are deteriorated.The results of indoor simulated pollution test showed that the change of the physical and mechanical properties of alkali-stained red clay changed at low concentration(0.7%)and high concentration(3.8%,7%,14%,21%)Good,mother liquor change the best;in the time effect,divided into 0d ~ 10 d,10d ~ 40 d,40d ~ 80 d three stages,10 d,40d there is an extreme value.The law of the change of the physicaland mechanical properties of alkali-contaminated red clay is that : During 10 to 20 days,the greater the concentration of lye,the better the physical and mechanical properties,during 20 to 40 days,the lye concentration and the physical and mechanical properties of the corresponding little,During the period of 40 to 80 days,the physical and mechanical properties remained almost unchanged.Reaction mechanism alkali and red clay is complex,has experienced the thermodynamic potential unchanged,thermodynamic potential adjustment and thermodynamic potential becomes stable,Physical and mechanical properties of red clay under actual pollution are the result of the construction and destruction of the interaction in this three stages.Alkali contaminated soil treatment,the focus should on the adjustment of the water chemical environment,so that the reaction mechanism alkali and red clay to the direction of construction,so as to improve the physical and mechanical properties of soil.
