As oil demand is increasing,there are more and more wells,the well failure occurs frequently,workover operations have become more frequent,but workover operations now is in a low degree of automation and the intensity of worker labor is strong.We have urgent need of development of faster,more safe automatic workover technology.In this paper,based on the investigation of hydraulic tongs in workover operations at home and abroad and the situation of the power slips,and the requirement of the automatic workover operation,a new type of hydraulic closed tong is designed.In this paper,the hydraulic closed tong of automatic workover rig includes a spinner tong,a punching tong,a back-up tong,a hydraulic tong guide rail and automatic power slips.The hydraulic tong guide rail supporting all,is the skeleton of the tongs and the automatic power slips,as well as has the role of migration of the hydraulic tongs.The automatic Power slip hanging the string is installed on the hydraulic tong guide of elevator guide rail.The gear of back-up tong's worm gear drives engages with the rack on the elevator guide rail,the worm gear has self-locking function.Back clamp pliers clamps the tubing and provides the shackle of torque.The punching tong punches at the beginning of the end of buckle and shackle on button punching;The spinner tong spins rapidly.This paper calculates and analyzes the spinner tong of the gear transmission system,worm gear drive system and pinion and rack drive system.The vertical guide rail is calculated with the theory of mechanics of materials.Using ANSYS Workbench to analyze the spinner tong connection plate,the slip body and the slip teeth,getting the stress nephogram and displacement nephogram.According to the action requirements of the hydraulic closed tong and the workflow of fastening and unfastening tube,the paper determines the hydraulic system diagram,calculates and selects of hydraulic actuators.Using AMEsim to simulate the hydraulic system.The simulation results accord with the designed movement.
