As one of the basic equipment with the highest technical content in the numerical control machine tool,the quality of machining center embodies the comprehensive strength and technical development level of a country or region.In addition,as the most important part of the product development process,design is the source of product quality,which directly determines the quality of the product.In order to develop a new design method which has good performance stability,high reliability,suitable for machining center,and can respond quickly to the complex and changeable market,the problems of task decomposition,coupling and decoupling were studied supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the project of "high grade CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment" in this paper,which has some theoretical significance and practical application in the design and development of the machining center.The main research contents were as follows:Firstly,considering the function of machining center is to complete by the transfer of a number of basic actions,with the help of FMA structured decomposition method,the design process of machining center was divided into meta-action design unit and the connection between units,and the definition of meta-action design unit was given,then the design flow of machining center based on the meta-action design unit was established.Finally,a domestic machining center was taken as an example to describe the design process based on meta-action design unit.Then,from the view of the design,the coupling constraint model was constructed for any two meta-action units,and the main types of coupling were analyzed,and then the coupling design structure matrix was constructed between the meta-action units.Based on the above analysis,the decoupling technology framework was proposed,and the "hard decoupling" and "soft decoupling" between meta-action units were defined.Then,aiming at the problems that may exist in the hard decoupling,a method of soft decoupling for machining center thronging constructing the polymeric set of meta-action unit based on directed graph was proposed.Finally,taking the design of the work-piece exchange movement of the APC(Automatic Pallet Changer,APC)in a domestic manufacturing center as an example to prove the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.Finally,aiming at the polymeric set of meta-action unit,the metric of coupling strength between meta-action units was given,as well as the method and step of calculation by the triangular fuzzy number AHP(analytic hierarchy process,AHP)was also given.And then the tearing algorithm was used to tearing the polymeric set,thus the initial design sequence of the polymeric set was determined,and the design process decoupling planning of machining center was realized,which can accelerate the design and development of machining center.Finally,the validity and feasibility of the method was verified by the example of the tearing decoupling for the polymeric set of meta-action action unit of the work-piece exchange movement of the APC.
