Panzhihua titanium of resources accounted for 90.5% of the national reserves,accounting for 35% of the world.Due to it's characteristics of titanium ore resources,the use of panzhihua titanium concentrate to product the rich titanium material in the production process,energy consumption,save resources,equipment usage and economic benefit etc which have a lot of problems.Subject based on pretreatment of titanium concentrate and vacuum carbothermic reduction after,which strengthen the ability of removing impurity and to preparation of high grade titanium material.The results show that the process of vacuum carbothermic reduction of Panzhihua ilmenite concentrate,the decrease of the granularity can accelerate the reaction speed.Titanium concentrate weightlessness rate decreases with the increase of particle size of titamium concentrate and the iron metallization rate overall increase.When the particle size of titanium concentrate range 200 mesh to 250 mesh,the titanium concentrate of phase is the ilmenite.When the temperature is 1450?,the carbon 14% and the reduction time 60 min,more than 300 mesh size iron titanium concentrate metallization rate can reach to 97%.The recovered silicon enters the metal iron and forms a silicon alloy.After the titanium concentrate prereduction,with the reduction of the extension of time,the ore of prereduction sample of weightlessness rate increase,the percentage of carbon and the residual carbon content of rate decrease,the content of iron and iron metallization rate is increasing,when the prereduction temperature is1200 ?,carbon 12% and prereduction time 120 min,the metallization rate was only 67.6%.The reduction of metallic iron phase with tiny particles evenly distributed in the prereduction of sample.The titanium concentrate of prereduction process of all magnet mineral phase is reduction to of metallic iron phase.After vacuum treatment,the longer prereduction of the ore samples residual carbon left lower and furthercarbothermic reduction of carbon oxide gas is less,which lead to minimum vacuum treatment of system pressure change.Prereduction of micro metallic iron particles for vacuum processing iron ore sample accumulation grew up attachment point,which creation a dynamic conditions to the further reduction and gathered up of iron in vacuum treatment processing.After vacuum treatment of the prereduction ore sample in addition to the metallic iron phase in the rest is low titanium oxide phase Ti1.83O3 and Ti2O3.The volatilization of metallic iron is cooled by condensation on the cauldron and the silicon elemental evaporates out of the crucible cap and metal iron alloy.In the macro-dynamics,the initial kinetics of vacuum carbothermic reduction of titanium concentrate to be calculate.Vacuum vacuum carbothermic reduction reaction of reduced iron element is the limiting steps for chemical reaction control interface.when the temperature is 1200 ?,the vacuum carbothermic reduction of titanium concentrate iron reduction rate equation for1-?1-??1/3=0.00207 t.
