Our country has abundant ilmenite resources which occupy 45%of world reserves and rank the first,but lean ore is larger than rich ore and average grade.Mineral processing of ilmenite is continuous developing in several decades,now ilmenite separation main use the combinative flow of reelect-magnetic separation-flotation and flotation become significant of it.There is more and more important to recover fine grain ilmenit by flotation aimed at the ore ressources characteristics of poor,fine and complex in our country.Now main flotation collectors of ilmenite are fatty acid and chelate,etc.The fatty acid collector is widely used and its dosage is large which as much as 1000-4000g/t.So there are always amount of collector adsorbed on ilmenite flotation concentrate.The ilmenite resources reserves in Panxi area occupy 90.6%of nationwide so that it is important to development and utilization.Flotation collector of Panzhihua named M2 and its dosage is large which as much as 3600-4000g/t.M2 is adsorbed on mineral surface strongly so that large reagents remain in concentrate.Burning and volatilizing of residual reagents may pollute productive process and nearby environment in following concentrate drying process.Therefor,It is significant to remove collector of ilmenite concentrate at unheated condition.This paper aims at ilmenite flotation concentrate of Panzhihua titanium concentrator and analyse its characters of concentrate and reagent,Methods of FTIR,zeta potential,UV spectrum and XRD are used to research technology and mechanism of ilmenite concentrate collector removed.Sodium oleate is main constituent of M2 and its analysis method is established by UV spectrum way.Condition experiment and technology experiment of ilmenite concentrate collector removed are carried out and contrast analysis once-concentrate collector removed technology to two-stage collector removed technology.Two reagent combinations are used in once-concentrate collector removed technology,one is 2000g/t of sodium hydroxide and 4000g/t of aluminum sulfate(or 2000g/t of ferric sulfate),another is 2000g/t of TY-1 and 3000g/t of aluminum sulfate,the collector removed ratio can reach 40.23%-44.29%.Two-stage collector removed technology use 2000g/t of sodium hydroxide 2000g/t of ferric sulfate in first stage and 2000g/t of TY-1 and 3000g/t of aluminum sulfate in second stage,the collector removed ratio can reach 69.45%-71.24%.Furthermore,mechanism of ilmenite concentrate collector removed is exploratory researched and achieve the mechanism of reaction between M2 and ilmenite as well as the mechanism of ilmenite concentrate collector removed.This research has guidance to ilmenite concentrate collector removed of Panzhihua titanium concentrator,meanwhile,it has guidance and reference value to collector removed of oxidized concentrate which used large fatty acid collector.
