Falcon concentrator is one of the new centrifugal separators developed,which has the advantage of high efficiency and low cost.Falcon concentrator has been applied to the field of fine coal separation in recent years,and the ideal separation effect was obtained.The properties of raw coal show that the highest particle size is 0.5-0.25 mm,0-0.045 mm coal has 13.13% yield,the results of Falcon separation efficiency indicates that 0-0.045 mm particle size is poorer than other grade sizes.For these reasons,the 0-0.045 mm material was wet screened to remove.The raw coal is high sulfur coal,it`s sulfur content of raw coal is 5.61%.The organic sulfur content is 1.38%,and pyrite is not completely dissociated,coal particles still contain more pyrite particles with small particle size,this will affect the desulfurization effect of separation.Tests of Falcon separation in aqueous medium was carried out firstly,in order to compare the heavy medium's influence on the separation effect.The feed quantity,frequency,and aqueous pressure's influence on the separation effect will be explored in tests of Falcon separation in aqueous medium.Then,tests of Falcon separation in heavy liquid medium was carried out.The heavy liquid density,frequency,and aqueous pressure's influence on the separation effect will be explored in tests of Falcon separation in aqueous medium.Tests of Falcon separation in heavy medium was carried out lastly,the feed quantity,heavy liquid density,frequency,and aqueous pressure's influence on the separation effect will be explored in these tests.Experimental results show that feed quantity,heavy liquid density,frequency,and aqueous pressure have important influences on the separation results.And Falcon water medium,heavy liquid and heavy medium separation test results showed the same trend with the operation parameters changing.In the Falcon orthogonal test,the mathematical model fitting effect of the four indexes is better.The optimal scheme of Falcon separation in heavy medium is that 35.76 g feed quantity,1.40g/cm3 medium flow density,40 Hz rotating frequency,0.04 MPa recoil pressure,under this condition,the clean coal production is 58.02% yield,13.99% ash content,2.57% sulfur content,the reliability of the optimization scheme is 0.6451.Comprehensive test results,and then comparative analysis,the results show: when the coal ash content is unchanged,the addition of heavy medium can obviously improve the yield of clean coal,The yield of Falcon heavy liquid concentrate is higher than that of Falcon heavy medium separation,the yield of Falcon heavy medium concentrate is higher than that of Falcon aqueous separation.The addition of heavy medium can obviously improve the ash reduction.However,because of the influence of the nature of raw coal,the effect of desulfurization effect is not obvious.To sum up,the addition of heavy medium can significantly improve separation effect.The desulfurization and ash removal effect of Falcon heavy liquid separation is better than that of Falcon heavy medium separation,and the effect of Falcon heavy medium separation is better than that of Falcon water medium separation.
