Research On Innovative Design Of Semantics Of Traditional Pattern Symbolic In Hotel Outfit

Hotel clothing and decorations design is of great significance to the measurement of a hotel’s comprehensive strength.To strengthen competitive advantages of hotel industry,the integration of professional,identification and aesthetic characters have been a critical factor in designing hotel clothing and decorations.Under this circumstance,in this thesis,symbolic meanings of traditional patterns and hotel clothing and decorations design are taken as objects of the study.In the first place,folk patterns in traditional patterns and symbols are integrated with regional cultures to design some patterns and symbols with regional,identification and universal characters.In the second,market investigations and analysis are carried out on representative four and five-star hotels in Dalian,during which images,cultures and management ideas of hotels as well as their demands and innovations in their hotel clothing and decorations design are analyzed in details,getting the result that there are two innovations.The first innovation is the integration of traditional patterns and symbols,regional cultures and hotel cultures.Designs and structures of selected patterns and symbols are redesigned by virtue of extraction,resolution,deformation and restructure and applied in hotel clothing and decorations.In this way,hotel clothing and decorations are taken as traveling carriers,transmitting both traditional and hotel cultures.The second innovation is that the functionality of hotel clothing and decorations are presented on cultural transmission and are integrated with symbolic meanings of their patterns to design patterns with both regional,hotel and position identifications,thus affecting the establishment of hotel image gradually.These are reasons why hotel clothing and decorations are vital factors for a successful hotel.Patterns and symbols studied in this thesis mainly aim at the integration of folk auspicious patterns and regional cultures in Dalian,which will be expressed by the structure of paper-cuts and presented in the way of embroidery.With the integration of symbolic meanings of auspicious patterns with their designs and structures,patterns with identifications are design.From the study,the author found that hotel clothing should be designed overall and systematically according to professional,regional and fashionable characters.Still,further investigations and analysis are carried out respectively from factors including designs,materials,colors,details and decorations in order to realize the integration of functionality,identification and aesthetic characters based on various features of different positions.In investigations and analysis,four functional divisions:reception desk,lobby managers,doormen and luggage clerk in front office of hotels are objects of design which demonstrate that their design have consulted hotel cultures,decorations and their corresponding regional characters.The application of traditional culture is conducive to the establishment of brand image for hotels in China.Thus,it is inevitable to integrate Chinese traditional elements with modern commercial clothing and decorations to realize their function of cultural inheritance,for designs of this kind is beneficial for employees to strengthen their confidence as well as awareness of responsibility so as to lead them to devote themselves to serving customers.I hope that the study in this thesis will do some help to the transmission of the cultural value,aesthetic value and commercial value of hotels.
