Bioleaching is characterized by low cost,environment friendly and high utilization,which is taken seriously due to the enforcement of environment and high cost.In this paper,study on bioleaching for concentrate and tailings on an company was carried out.The process mineralogy was studied to guide the bacterial culture and domestication tests.The bacteria are selected,optimized and settled for the practical production.Main results are as follows:1.The process mineralogy study shows that the 1#concentrate is consisted of 10.50%Ni,0.42%Co,0.38%Cu and 25.10%Fe;the Brazil concentrate is consisted of 14.5%Ni,4.70%Cu,0.23%Co,31.79%Fe.the royal concentrate is consisted of 10.30%Ni,0.38%Co,0.42%Cu,35.40%Fe.Ni exists as pentlandite,Co exists in pentlandite by isomorphism.The tailings is consisted of 0.13%Ni,0.03%Cu.<0.01%Co and 6.30%Fe,and Ni exists as nepouite and pentlandite.2.The indigenous bacteria,named as JE bacteria,were cultured and domesticated.The optimal culture conditions of indigenous bacteria are 300 ? and pH 2.0.0.The JE bacteria and HQ0211 bacteria which can survive under the condition of 10%pulp density was obtained,where the largest concentration of bacteria is up to 109cellˇmL-1.3.The three concentrate leaching experiments were conducted to compare the pros and cons of HQ0211 bacteria,JE bacteria and acid leaching.The result shows that HQ0211 bacteria exhibits an optimum,where the leaching rate is 93.02%of Ni,91.98%of Co,94.11%of Cu and 43.09%of Fe for 1#concentrate,89.86%Ni,57.17%Co,44.11%Cu,44.54%Fe for 2#concentrate,and 87%Ni,87.11%Co,85.71%Cu,41.71%Fe for 3#concentrate.4.Tailings leaching experiment was carried out to compare the pros and cons of HQ0211 bacteria,JE bacteria and acid leaching.The result shows that JE bacteria exhibits an optimum.The leaching rate for tailings is 70.08%Ni,40%Co,57.67%Cu and 65.06%Fe.5.Tank leaching experiment was carried out in 1#nickel concentrate,the leaching rate with HQ0211 bacteria is 91.6%Ni,93.5%Co,88.9%Cu and 65.06%Fe.
