With the progress of urbanization construction in China, the total output value of the construction industry has always been rising.A large number of construction projects will not only waste limited natural resources, but also produce a lot of construction waste, which will bring great harm to the ecological environment if they are not dealt with timely and effectively. Therefore, strengthening the reduction of construction wastes has become one of the most urgent environmental problems. The existing literature mainly studies the reduction management of construction waste from different stages of construction waste, and proposes corresponding measures to reduce the production quantity of construction waste from various stages of waste generation. However, the current situation of construction waste management shows that the reduction effect of actual construction process has not been greatly improved, and the lack of economic incentive measures of stakeholders is the main reason.Based on the analysis of the cost and benefit of construction waste management, this article studies the cost and benefit of construction waste by DEMATEL method and system dynamics method, and establishes the cost-benefit model of construction waste management. The relevant research conclusions are obtained by analyzing model results and case simulation, and the corresponding Suggestions are put forward accordingly.Firstly,by summarizing the existing literature research,13 factors that influence the cost effectiveness of construction waste management are selected.Through the expert interview and DEMATEL method, and the importance of each factor and its interaction relationship are identified.Secondly, according to the main influencing factors identified above, the dynamic model of building waste management cost efficiency system was established by VENSIM,and the cost and benefit model of construction waste was divided into three systems: generation and disposal subsystem, reduction management subsystem and economic benefit assessment subsystem. Finally,a practical engineering case of Chengdu city is selected to simulate and analyze the system dynamics model to verify the practical application effect of this research model. The results show that "the level of regulation","recycling market integrity","government supervision",and "effort to reduce emissions" are the main factors that affect the effectiveness of construction waste management. In this study, the construction waste cost-benefit models based on systems dynamics can effectively assess the cost-effectiveness of construction waste management. The result of simulation analysis proves that the implementation of the waste reduction management of construction waste can effectively reduce the amount of waste produced. In this case, the total amount of illegal dumping of construction waste is reduced by 584 t,the amount of waste to be buried is reduced by 1807 t,the effect of waste reduction is significant. The contractors can obtain certain economic benefits by implementing the reduction management. When the contractor improves the sorting efficiency, reduces the illegal dumping ratio,or when the government provides the recycling subsidy and raises the charge for the landfill, the contractor's economic benefits of the waste management will be improved.
