As one of the typical natural disasters,gale weather disaster not only caused huge economic losses,but also endanger personal safety,how to take measures to reduce the wind speed in severe wind disaster area has been attracting more and more people's attention.Karamay city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is a typical wind disaster area in China,the region's winds are frequent and destructive.In this paper,CFD software is used to simulate the wind environment of the main urban area of Karamay City,and a comprehensive windbreak strategy analysis is carried out for its regional characteristics.This paper focuses on the analysis of geographic information systems(GIS),digital elevation models(DEM)and other related content,and explain how to use Global Mapper to realize the digital terrain modeling and how to realize the transformation between the network terrain file and the entity model in detail.In addition to the terrain modeling,in order to show the impact of the complex urban surface on the distribution of the wind field precisely,this paper also combines the urban planning design and other Internet tools to model the main city buildings.On the basis of this,then we simulate the wind environment of the main urban area under the conditions of summer,transition season and winter by using PHOENICS software,and analyse the simulation results,summary the location of the wind prone and possible causes.As the living environment of the residential area are affected by a variety of factors,in order to understand the influence of different building morphology and layout of building groups on the surrounding environment.In this paper,we also carry out PHOENICS simulation on the building blocks with different lengths,height and dominant wind angle,and four different planar layout schemes of parallel,wrong,oblique and enclosing.The results show that the length of the building's shadow wind area increases with the length and height of the building,when the wind and the dominant wind direction is 90°,the shadow wind area is the largest.When the incident angle is 0°,the wind environment of the determinant and the all-enclosed layout is better from the point of view of spatial layout,and it can create a good outdoor space.Finally,based on the existing wind protection measures at home and abroad,this paper analysis the windbreak strategy which can reduce the wind speed of the main urban area of Karamay city,including the design of buildings planning layout,green and wind barrier design,the design of building element and so on.Then simulates a typical residential area of Karamay,and the optimal design strategy is proposed based on the simulation results,the result shows that the wind environment can be improved obviously after improving the wind protection purposefully.
