Biomass Pyrolysis Oil,product of the biomass pyrolysis process, was difficult to apply,as result of complex composition, high oxygen content, low calorific value, poor stability and so on.So it was usually burned as pollutants. However this process wasted resources seriously. And as a kind of unqualified fuel,it could cause combustor corroded and environmental pollution. In the study, based on its physical and chemical properties, extraction was utilized to enrich phenolic compounds of Biomass Pyrolysis Oil.By condensation reaction with formaldehyde, phenolic resin adhesive complied with national standards was synthesized from the extraction oil which was rich in phenolic compounds as an alternative of a part of phenol. Then the qualified emulsified fuel oil was prepared on the raffinate by emulsifying with appropriate emulsion.A comprehensive utilization of Biomass Pyrolysis Oil was proposed. As tested,in biomass pyrolysis oil the oxygen content was 22.84%,in which phenolic compounds and carboxylic acid were abundant;the water content was 7.7%;the acid value was 33.56 mgKOH·g-1;and the low calorific value was 28.71 MJ·kg-1.While sulfur nitrogen contents and metal content was low.Tthe total contents of the eight kinds of the PAHs was156.5mg·kg-1,and the contents of the BaP was 20.8 mg·kg-1.So the raw material had a poor environmental performance. And it had the poor stability. Two kinds of extraction were utilized to enrich phenolic compounds of Biomass Pyrolysis Oil.In the optimum experimental conditions of single solvent extraction using ethyl acetate, the extraction yield was 27.89%.In the extraction oil,the proportion of the phenolic compounds was 67.55%,the proportion of the phenol was 17.50%.In the optimum experimental conditions of double-solvent extraction with ethyl acetate and NaOH solution the extraction yield was 18.82%.In the extract oil,the proportion of the phenolic compounds was 60.91%,the proportion of the phenol was 13.11%.In the study, phenolic resin adhesive was synthesized from the oil extracted by single solvent extraction oil instead of phenol by using Ba?OH?2 and triethylamine as catalysts.Under the optimum experimental conditions:substitution level of extraction oil kept 10%,catalyst formulation controlled with n[Ba?OH?2]:n[?CH3CH2?3N]=2,reacting for 2 hour at80°C.The specific performance index tested was shown:pH was 8.2,viscosity was 125mPa·s,the percentage of free formaldehyde content was 0.2403%,that of free phenol was1.9637%,and bonding strength was 1.31 MPa.All performance index of phenolic resin adhesive prepared awere complied with national standards. What's more, because of utilization of the modified catalyst, formaldehyde emission content was decreased significantly. The raffinate, which was preprocessed with self-regulating acid reducing agent, was emulsified by different emulsifiers. Then emulsifier compound consisted of Tween80 and OP-10 were confirmed as the best emulsifier. And the optimum emulsification conditions were confirmed as follows:dosage of emulsifier kept 4%,emulsifying temperature was 30°C,emulsifying time was 15 minutes, rotating speed of emulsifying machine kept 2000 r·min-1.As tested, the density and calorific value of emulsified fuel oil was unchanged in this experimental condition, with higher ash value and lower acid value. Its viscosity increased clearly in lower temperature. While in higher temperature, the viscosity of emulsified fuel oil and raw raffinate were almost the same level. The emulsified fuel oil had a better combustion performance. The fire point was 160°C,and it burned faster with a higher thermal efficiency. The emulsified fuel oil had little lower flammability and combustion stabilization than raw raffinate. And its combustion performance was the same with raw raffinate.
