Clinical Observation Of Epalrestat Combining TCM Fumigation On Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Patients

Objective: To observe the correlation of HCY and hs-CRP with DPN.To study the comprehensive intervention effect of epalrestat combining TCM fumigation which has the effciency of benefiting vital energy activating blood on DPN patients.Methods: 90 cases of DPN patients(TCSS:9 score~13 score)as the observer group And 60 simple diabetic patients(DM group)served as the basal control.Take serum FPG,2hPG,HbA1 c,TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,HCY,hs-CRP and TCSS in the comparative Study.The observer group(n=90)were randomly divided into 3 groups that controled with epalrestat(EP group),treated with epalrestat and warm water fumigation,and take in accordance with epalrestat combining TCM fumigation(EM group).To Compare with the serum HCY,hs-CRP,CSIT and TCSS in the observer group before and after treatment.Results: Clinical observation showed that(1)the level of plasma HCY were risk factors for DPN(OR=2.822,2.466,P < 0.05).(2)The CSIT improved in three group,and the EM group got better than EP and EW groups(P<0.05);The level of TCSS all dropped in the observer group,and the level of TCSS in EM group dropped more than EP and EW group(2.00±1.22;1.30±1.02;1.31±1.20),P<0.05.(3)The total efficiency,significant efficiency and effective rate(64.3%,7.1%,57.1%)in the EM group were higher than the EP(37.3%,0%,37.3%)and EW group(34.5%,3.4%,31%),P<0.05.(4)Compared with pre-treatment,the level of plasma hs-CRP and HCY in the observer group all dropped,and the level dropped in EM group was higher than the other two group(P<0.05).Conclusion: It is suggested that the level of plasma hs-CRP and HCY would be potential risk factors of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Clinical efficacy of epalrestat Combined herbal fumigation on DPN was better than single epalrestat.Epalrestat Combined herbal fumigation reduced hs-CRP and HCY role better than single epalrestat in DPN patients.
