Objectives: To investigate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis by systematic reviews and Meta-analysis; To investigate selection of points of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis base on data mining technology. Methods: To formulate inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria and search methods base on Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions5.1.0;Two reviewers extracted information on patients, interventions, methods and results with data collection forms which designed by Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions5.1.0 and the characteristic of acupuncture independently; assessed risk of bias and quality of the acupuncture intervention; To investigate efficacy and safety of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis by Revman5.3.Used Response, migraine days, migraine frequency, migraine intensity, analgesic use, migraine duration time, PDI, MIDAS, SF-36 or SF-12 as the outcome to evaluate the efficacy. Utilized the number of side effects to evaluate the safety. Count data calculate the relative risk(Relative Risk, RR) and 95% confidence interval(confidence interval, CI) and measurement data calculate standardized mean difference(standardized mean difference, SMD) and 95% confidence interval. Established form of selection of points of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis with Access2013 and analyzed the data with SPSS Modeler14.1.Result:1.Twenty-six trials with 3657 participants met the inclusion criteria. Fifteen trials reported in english and eleven trials reported in chinese.2.To make subgroups with time points compared with the blank control a total of 18 indexes, compared with sham acupuncture in a total of 38 indexes, compared with western medicine, a total of 34 indexes.3.Result of Meta-analysis: compared with the blank control, acupuncture is more effective for migraine prophylaxis in 14 indexes and 4 indexes showed no significant statistical difference; Compared with sham acupuncture, 7 indexes showed acupuncture is more effective for migraine prophylaxis than sham acupuncture, sham acupuncture is more effective in 2 indexes, the other 29 indicators showed no significant statistical difference; Compared with drug, 22 indexes are more effective,12 indexes showed no significant statistical difference.4.The top three points of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis are fengchi, shaigu, taiyang; It produced 82 association rules and those rules are important:shuaigu?feng chi, taiyang?fengchi, taichong?fengchi, taiyang+shuaigu?fengchi, sanyinjiao+fengchi?taiyang, sanyinjiao+taiyang?shuaigu, sanyinjiao+taiyang+shuaigu?fengchi, taichong+ shuaigu+fengchi?taiyang. Conclusion: Evidence support of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis was considered promising, acupuncture is as efficient as western medicine for migraine prophylaxis at least and more safe.
