Objective:To explore the impact of pre or post processing semen parameters and clinical pregnancy rate after intrauterine insemination(IUI).Methods :One hundred and twenty-three infertile couples(233 IUI cycles) conformed to our standard were retrospectively analyzed. Two hundred and thirty three cycles were divided into pregnant group(45cycles) and non pregnant group(188 cycles).Statistics all semen parameters of the two groups to investigate the relationship between IUI pregnancy rate and pre or post processing semen parametersResults:1、The overall pregnancy rate was 19.31%.2、In our study pre or post processing sperm concentration 、motile sperm percentage and total progressive motile sperm count(TPMSC) have no statistically significant difference(P<0.05),but processed total motile sperm count(PTMSC) have statistically significant difference between thetwo groups.3、Logistic multivariate analysis showed that there was statistically significant association between IUI pregnancy rate and following factors including PTMSC and abstinence period.4 、 IUI pregnancy rate raised with TPMSC increasing, but each groups, pregancy rate have no statistical difference, but each groups, pregancy rate have no statistical difference.when PTMSC>10x106 can achieved a higher pregnancy rate than the PTMSC ≤10x106group(P<0.05),PTMSC is a important Sperm Parameter to IUI pregnancy rate. Conclusions :When PTMSC > 10 x106 can obtain better IUI pregnancy outcome,it is a important reference index to assess IUI clinical outcome. Objective :To explore the relationship of abstinence period with sperm parameters and pregnancy rate undergoing intrauterine inseminationMethods One hundred and twenty-three infertile couples(233 IUI cycles) conformed to our standard were retrospectively analyzed.233 IUI cycles were divided into following groups based on abstinence period : A(≤2 days),B(3 days),C( 4 days), D( ≥5 days). We retrospectively analyzed each groups, pregnancy rate and sperm Parameters. Results :1、when abstinence period of ≤4days,with the extension of abstinence period, the pre processing semen volume and TPMSC gradually increased(p<0.05),total sperm concentration increased(p>0.05),PR% decreased(P>0.05).2、Furthermore when abstinence period of ≥5 days,TPMSC and PR% decreased remarkbly(P<0.05),3、 After being optimized by spermatozoa selection technology, all sperm parameters above-mentioned,compared to each groups, have no statistically significiant difference.4、Group A and group B have higher pregnancy rate than other groups, there were remarkble statistical differences. Conclusions :1 、 With the extension of abstinence period, volume and TPMSC gradually increased, when abstinence period of ≥ 5 days,TPMSC and PR% decreased remarkbly, sperm concentration have no significiant difference.2、An ejaculatory abstinence period of ≤3 days obtain the highest pregnancy rate.3、Combining with the male physiology, 2-3 days is the best abstinence period to IUI.
