Clinical Research On Auricular Acupressure Technology Treating Hypertension And Improving Quality Of Life Of Community Hypertension Patients

Objective: Through treating hypertension patients in community of auricular acupressure intervention, the anti-hypertensive effect of auricular acupressure on hypertensive patients and the improvement of the quality of their lives should be evaluated. In the meantime, scientific evidence of auricular acupressure technology based on the theory of TCM to serve the hypertension prevention and control work in community are provided.Methods: In this study, 60 hypertensive patients who meet the study standard are selected and then divided into control group(30 cases) and treatment group(30 cases) by following the openness principle of randomized controlled trials. Control group: oral western medicine nifedipine 20 mg, qd. Treatment group: on the basis of oral western medicine nifedipine 20 mg, auricular acupressure is intervened every time one ear, and every two days on the other ear. To intervene in all these patients for 30 days continuously as a course.The effect are analyzed and the conclusions should be summarized after the completion of 3 courses of intervention treatment.Results: Compared with control group, the analysis of the experimental results shows that the treatment group gets better anti-hypertensive effect(P<0.01); and the heart rate of the treatment group is lowered(P<0.05); the TCM in patients with hypertension symptoms improved significantly(P<0.01); the quality of life of patients with hypertension scores increase significantly(P<0.01). According to the results of comparison experiment security monitoring, the patients electrocardiogram and laboratory indexes(urine routine, liver and kidney function) has no abnormal effects of clinical significance in this experiment.Conclusion: The auricular acupressure technology contributes to reduce level of blood pressure in patients with Primary Hypertension who get hyperactivity of liver-fire syndrome. The effect on improving dizziness, headache, head bilges, tinnitus, insomnia, lumbar debility and other symptoms is quite obvious. The auricular acupressure technology can significantly improve the quality of life of hypertension patients.It especially shows the effectiveness in improving physical symptoms, somatization symptoms, sleep status, vitality or vigor, sensitive interpersonal relationship and working state dimension. What's more, it also helped to slow heart rate.
