Objective: To explore the feasibility and safety of(UEMR)underwater endoscopic mucosal resection in the treatment of large intestine polyps.Methods: A total of 93 patients referred for 133 polyps including 15 pedunculated, 51 semipedunculated and 67 sessile were underwent UEMR in the endoscopy center of Gui Zhou Provincial Pepole,s Hospital from June 2012 to October 2015. The other 98 patients referred for 133 polyps including 11 pedunculated, 62 semipedunculated and 60 sessile were underwent electric cutting in the endoscopy center of Gui Zhou Provincial Pepole,s Hospital at the same time were selected randomly as the matched group. The safety, effectiveness and feasibility of UEMR were analyzed by compared the integrity resection rate, intraoperative bleeding rate, intraoperative perforation rate, postoperative delayed bleeding rate between the two groups and reviewed the method, operation process and complications of the colorectal polyps in group UEMR。Results: 1) The integrity resection rate of UEMR in the treatment of colorectal polyps was 97.7%(130/133), and the match group was 98.5%(131/133)(P > 0.05). 2) UEMR group and the match group had no intraoperative and postoperative perforation. 3) There was no delayed bleeding in the UEMR group and 1 cases of the match group with delayed bleeding(P>0.05). 4)The intraoperative bleeding rate was 3%(4/133) in the UEMR group and was 6.8%(9/133) in the match group(P<0.05). 5) After water immersion, the basal part of sessile polyp was more clear and the pedicle of pedunculated and semipedunculated polyp could be exposed better, which made observation and trap resection of polyp easily.Conclusion: Underwater endoscopic mucosal resection of colorectal polyps is a kind of good treatment technology which is easy operation, high security, good effect and less complications, so it is worthy of clinical promotion.
