The Case Study On Intervention Of Children With Autism In Satir Model Of Family Therapy

Since 1943, the Johns Hopkins University expert Leo Kanner put forward the concept of autism, with the increasing of the morbidity rate, more and more people start to focus on this group, and many researches have been done from the perspectives of etiology exploration, diagnostic criteria, treatment method and education intervention. Currently, there are still no medicines or rehabilitation methods can be taken to cure this syndrome.Therefore it remains an arduous task for mankind.Guided by the method of the Satir family therapy theory, this paper, using household interviews, family sculpture method, discusses the the relation between autism children’s behavior and family modes. The author try to integrate the simplified game interference method into the interference project to adjust the mentality of the family members, improve the communication model, reconstruct the family system, and influence the continuity of the capability training of the children with autism using the integrated family resources.Through interviews and comparison of the questionaires before and after the test, the author prove that intervention had some positive effect. Family environment, family members relationship, and case subject’s thoughts on education are improved. The negative emotions were dredged, and the self-care ability of the case subject has improved. The family function operate smoothly.There are several failures in this interference which can be shown in the family members’ anxiety to get the result, and the failed shopping training when the case subject’s capability improve.Through the combing of the intervention and the reviewing of the results, the author summarizes the reason for success and analyze the innovation in this research. At the end, the author gives her advice on children with autism treatment for social workers.
