Clinical Research On Treatment Of Cervical Sub-health By Acupuncture Regulating The Qi-insufficiency Constitution

Objective1.To analyse the role of constitutional theory of TCM in guiding the clinical intervention in sub-health people,and sort out the progresses of TCM and Western medicine researches on the improvements of cervical discomfort related with sub-health condition in recent years.2.To observe the clinical effect of needle warming moxibustion in ameliorating cervical discomfort of the sub-health people signified by Qi-deficiency,and evaluate the academic thoughts of acupuncture and moxibustion in improving sub-health condition,with a single blind randomized controlled clinical trial.MethodIn this study,a total of 66 patients were selected who met the criteria of cervical sub-health group,by using the "vertebrae cervical sub-health assessment scale"(self-made)and "classification and determination of TCM Constitution"(China Association of TCM).Through a simple random grouping method,the subjects were divided into tow groups:the treatment group(warm acupuncture group)and the control group(electroacupuncture group).Each group involved 33 patients at the beginning.The treatment group received the empirical acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of Professor Fu which selected Baihui,Jingbailao,Pishu,Shenshu and Zusanli points with needle warming moxibustion to recuperate the sub-health Qi-deficiency patients with cervical discomfort.The control group selected Tianzhu,Jingbailao,Dazhu,Houxi,and Lieque,and the neck acupoints got Electroacupuncture,which was the treatment of cervical disease instructed by Science of Acupuncture and Moxibustion edited by Shi Xuemin,an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.Two groups accepted treatments 30 minutes every time,once every 3 days,and one course of treatment lasted for 21 days,and made a treatment efficacy evaluation after each course.During the treatment told the patients to do neck exercises for 10 minutes daily.Results1.In this study,the treatment group and the control group all had remarkable curative effect on improving neck discomfort.The total effective rate was 96%and 90%,with statistical significance(P<0.05),the treatment group showed a much better performance than the control group on the improvements of neck symptoms.2.After the treatment,compared with precious’ s score,there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in control group on Qi deficiency constitution,while the treatment group had a significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionThe results of this study showed that the treatment group and the control group both had a significant effect on the improvement of cervical sub-health condition,and the former was better than the latter.While in the treatment of qi-deficiency constitution,the treatment group has a significant advantage,but the control group has not yet appeared any improvement.The method of corporeity conditioning by acupuncture can not only alleviate the discomfort of neck symptom to a greater extent,but could improve the patient’s constitution at the same time,what’ s more,it could improve the sub-health state from the root.This is the full performance of Holistic View on preventing treatment.After thousands years of development,it would be putting fine timber to petty use,if the acupuncture was limited to stroke hemiplegia,neck or low back pain,etc..As a green medicine,acupuncture will shine in the treatment of sub-health field.
