| ObjectivesTo investigate the one-year efficacy and safety of the"ICE plus FIRE"ablation of paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation in a single-center.Try to find factors that may affect the efficacy of the "ICE plus FIRE"ablation.MethodsThis study was carried out in 69 consecutive patients with paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation who underwent the"ICE plus FIRE"ablation in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital,Zhejiang University school of medicine.Analyze the efficacy and safety of the"ICE plus FIRE"ablation in 3,6 and 12 monthes respectively.Try to find factors that may affect the efficacy of the"ICE plus FIRE" ablation in patients with paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation using the Kaplan-Meier Analysis.ResultsThis study showed the success of the"ICE plus FIRE"ablation of paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation at 3,6 and 12 monthes were 76.8%,68.1%and 65.2%respectively.After excluding of the first three monthes’ blanking period, the success at 6 and 12 monthes were 88.5 and 82.6%respectively,and the success free from both the Atrial Fibrillation and the antiarrhythmic drugs at 6 and 12 monthes were 66.7%and 63.8%respectively.There were one case of esophageal injury, one case of pericardial, and one case of groin hematom,no other complacations happened(totally 4.3%).In the factor analysis, the recurrence-free survival time of the young group was significantly higher than the middle and aged group(P=0.039).None of the other factors included in this study had significant effect on the long-term efficacy of the"ICE pluxs FIRE"ablation.ConclusionIn this study, thet"ICE plus FIRE"ablation used for paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation was safe and effective. The success at one year was 82.6%,and the incidence of complacations was 4.3%. |
