Objective:The objective of this study is aimed at evaluating the efficacy of Tiaogan Hezhong Decoction in order to promote its application widely, through observing the improvement of clinical symptoms and changes of patients’ quality of life who were suffering from postprandial distress syndrome with taking the self-made Tiaogan Hezhong Decoction.Methods:60 patients who meeting the inclusion criteria were divided into treatment group or control group, according to their visiting orders.Treatment group was treated with Tiaogan Hezhong Decoction. At the same time, the control group was treated with Mosapride. All of these measures lasted four weeks.Observe and record all the changes of different indexes and adverse reactions before and after the treatment.Sort and analysis the data finally.Results:1 The total efficiency of TCM syndromes:The total efficiency of TCM syndromes of the treatment group is 93.33%and the control group is 70.00%,there is significant difference between two groups(P<0.05),it means that the treatment group is better than the control group on this point.2 The comparison of total scores of TCM syndromes:According to the data analysis, before treatment there is no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05);After treatment, two groups’ scores of TCM syndromes decreased obviously(P<0.01)on both sides, and the scores of the treatment group are apparently lower than those of the control group.3 The efficacy of primary symptoms:The total effective rate of treatment group in postprandial fullness and early satiety is 90.48%、87.50%,compared to the control group followed by 52.63%、47.06%,which makes sense clearly(P<0.05).This indicates that the treatment group improved the main symptoms of PDS much better than those of control group.4 The comparison of individual symptom scores:Before treatment, the treatment group and the control group had no significant difference in individual symptom scores(P>0.05);After treatment, the treatment group showed improving significantly in individual symptoms(P<0.01);In addition to heartburn and acid reflux symptoms without obvious improvement, other symptoms of control group improved in different degrees as well(P<0.01、P<0.05);What’s more,it seems that two groups have the same effect on diet reduction, expansion and fullness in both flanks and chest distress, sighing frequently(P>0.05).5 The comparison of HAMA/HAMD scores:Before treatment, the treatment group and the control gproup had no significant difference in HAMA or HAMD(P>0.05);After treatment, scores of two groups decreased meaningfully(P<0.01).Moreover,the treatment group improved sharply in both HAMA and HAMD(P<0.01).Conclusion:The results show that the method of regulating liver and harmonizing the Middle Jiao has an outstanding effect in improving clinical symptoms and life quality of patients with PDS,and no adverse reactions were found, which is worthy of clinical application.
