Objective : To investigate the role of the plasma IL-22 levels in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma through measuring the plasma IL-22 levels of asthma patients, and further study the relationship between the plasma IL-22 levels and Ig E or pulmonary function、fractional exhaled nitric oxide(FENO).Methods : Seventy-eight cases bronchial asthma patients with acute attack phase of Ji Lin University First Hospital were enrolled as research group in the present study. The group was given 0.4mg salbutamol and 2mg budesonide inhalation 2 times and 0.3g doxofylline twice one day,10 mg montelukast once a day, regiments for seven days. They need to inhale budesonide/formoterol 160/ 4.5ug twice one day after leaving the hospital for 3 months and to achieve clinical control phase. The Ig E level were detected in patients with asthma before the treatment. The asthma patients were divided into normal Ig E group(n=32)and increased Ig E group(n=46)according to the levels of serum Ig E.In addition,20 healthy people in Ji Lin University First Hos-pital were enrolled as the healthy control group. They also need to detect the plasma IL-22 level、the lung function and FENO.The IL-22 level、the lung function and FENO were also detected before and after the treatment, and the IL-22 was compared among asthma patients at acute attack phase or clinical control phase and healthy controls. The correlation between the plasma IL-22 levels and pulmonary function or fractional exhaled nitric oxide was further analyzed. Results: 1、The plasma IL-22 level in asthma patients at acute attack phase and clinical control phase were both higher than that in healthy controls(P <0.05);2、The IL-22 level decreased as patients transitioned into clinical control phase, but it was still higher than healthy controls(P <0.05);3、The plasma IL-22 level of the patients in increased Ig E group was markedly increased than that in normal Ig E group(P <0.05);4、There was a significant negative correlation between the plasma IL-22 level and FEV1% in asthma patients(r=-0.3653,P=0.0010;r=-0.2672,P=0.0180);There was no significant correlation between the plasma IL-22 levels and FENO in asthma patients(r=0.0119 P=0.9180;r=0.05980,P=0.6025).Conclusion:1、The plasma IL-22 level in asthma patients at acute attack phase and clinical control phase were markedly increased than that in healthy controls, and the plasma IL-22 levels of the patients in increased Ig E group was higher than that in normal Ig E group, suggesting that IL-22 participate in immune-inflammation pathogenesis of asthma;2、There was a significant negative correlation between the plasma IL-22 level and FEV1% in asthma patients.
