| Objective: To investigate about improvement of negative emotions of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis after treatment with Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and the feasibility of adding psychological items follow-up as an important postoperative recovery.Method: Used Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)to evaluate 62 CRS patients’ metal health status at1 week preoperative and 3 months postoperative,and the issuance of follow-up card evaluated psychological recovery in patients with endoscopic sinus surgery,at the same time selected 52 healthy persons as control group.Result: 1,The total HAMD and HAMA scores showed that the patients’ average scores preoperative were higher than the healthy group,and those were significantly decreased after Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery(FESS),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2,the total scores of HAMD and HAMA were divided into normal group,depression or anxiety group,and anxiety and depression comorbidity group,CRS patients preoperative with 27(44%),13(21%)and 22(35%),respectively;and after the operation of each group were 48(75%),8(12%)and 8(13%),the incidence of emotional disorder in the CRS patients was higher than that in the healthy control group,by the univariate Chi-square test,the difference was statistically significant(χ2 =24.194,P<0.0001).3,There is a positivecorrelation between the total HAMD and HAMA scores preoperative,total HAMD and HAMA scores postoperative,and correlation were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Chronic sinusitis has a negative effect on anxiety and depression.Postoperative psychological score was improved,but there are still some emotional problems,which need to be paid attention to a long time.It is very necessary to make an objective evaluation and comparison,and it is very important to use the mental emotion score as an important index of postoperative recovery. |
