Objective:To observe the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome differentiation treatment forelderly community acquired pneumonia,to provide evidence for TCM syndrome differentiation treatment of elderly patients with community acquired pneumonia, the efficacy was compared between TCM syndromedifferentiation treatment and Tanreqing injection, the advantages of syndromedifferentiationtreatment was preliminaryexplored in elderly patients with CAP.Methods:In the elderly patients with CAP as the research object,95 cases were included in the study, were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,a total of 5 cases were removed, the effective sample size was 90 cases,45 cases in each group. The control group was given Tanreqing injection combined with conventional western medicine treatment,The treatment group was givenTCM decoction combined with western medicine. The treatment course was 1 week.patients were evaluated at first day and 7th day of treatment.Results:1.after statistical analysis, there was no significant difference between the two groups in sex, age, basic disease, disease grade, course of disease, pathogen distribution, they were comparable.2.In the common clinical syndromes of elderly CAP(phlegm heat accumulation of lung syndrome, phlegm heat accumulation of lung with Qi Yin two deficiency syndrome, phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung combined with lungspleenQi deficiency syndrome),the syndrome of deficiency and excess was the main type, phlegm heat accumulation of lung qi and Qi Yin deficiency syndrome were the most common syndromes in the elderly CAP,it was 60%of the cases.3.On the curative effect of the disease, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.1%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 78.0%.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).4.Chinese medicine syndrome score were compared between 2 groups, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 88.9%,the significant effective rate was 11.1%,the total effective rate of the control group was 60%,thesignificant effective rate was 2.2%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.In single symptom, all symptom scores improved except wheezing after treatment in two groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences of expectoration, fatigue, sweating, thirst symptoms score were significant between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05),The treatment group was better thanthe control group, but the fever, cough, chest pain,fatigue,anorexia/abnormal stool symptom score were no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).6.Remission time of cough and expectoration in treatment group were shorter than that in control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in hospital stay and fever time(P>0.05).7.The white blood cell count(WBC),neutrophil percentage(NE%),C reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)decreased in two groups after treatment(P<0.05),After treatment, there was no significant difference in WBC and NE%between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference of CRP and PCT were statistically significant(P<0.05).The efficiency of chest X-ray recovery in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),theetiological examination showed that pathogen clearance rate was 85.7%in treatment group, pathogen clearance rate was 75%in control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.TCM syndrome differentiation treatment combined with western medicine and Tanreqing injection combined with conventional western medicine treatment for elderly patients with CAP have better clinical efficacy.2.The clinical curative effect of TCM combined with western medicine for elderly CAP patients was better than that of Tanreqing injection combined with conventional Western medicine.
