Objective:To explore assessment of Growth and differentiation factor 15(GDF-15),Brain natriuretic peptide,and Interleukin-6 for the value of clinical in Chronic Heart failure(CHF).Methods:Seventy-nine patients with CHF were selected by Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University in this research.Records of all the patients age,gender,height,weight,blood pressure,BMI and other data.And according to NYHA classification of cardiac function,79 patients with CHF were divided into II grade,III grade,IV grade,28 patients with II grade,25 patients with III grade,26 patients with IV grade.Then,According to Guidelines for the treatment of Chronic heart failure,All patients were anti heart failure treatment for 14 days.Extract vein blood by patient before and after treatment.The serum samples were placed in the 40 degrees below zero refrigerator of laboratory department in 163 hospital.The serum level of GDF-15、BNP、IL-6 was determined by ELISA.Analysis the relationship of GDF-15 and NYHA functional classification by Statistical methods.Comparing three groups concentration of GDF-15,BNP,and IL-6 in CHF patients before and after treatment,and analysis the correlations of data.Results:Analysis showed serum concentration of GDF-15,BNP and IL-6 are positively correlated with NYHA functional classification.Serum concentration of GDF-15 BNP and IL-6 are increased with the worsening of cardiac function.Before and after treatment,serum concentration of GDF-15 in 79 CHF patients are significant difference(P<0.05),serum concentration of BNP are significant difference(P<0.05),while,there are no difference in IL-6 before and after treatment(P>0.05).serum concentrations of GDF-15 and BNP among patients in NYHA functional class Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05).Before and after treatment,serum concentrations of IL-6 are significantly different in NYHA functional class Ⅳ.(P<0.05),but,there are no difference in NYHA functional class Ⅱ,Ⅲ.Analysis showed serum concentration of GDF-15,BNP and IL-6 are significantly different before and after treatment.Conclusion:GDF-15 may be a new biomarker in patients with CHF,GDF-15 can evaluate the severity of Chronic heart failure objectively.
