Advances In Pathogenesis And Integrated Therapies Of Traditional Chinese Medicine And Western Medicine In Active Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a common autoimmune disease,which can be divided into active and relieving stages.The former group of the disease can be at the first attack,and also at the recurrent condition.Without the active and effective managements,the active condition of RA would diminish the quality of patients’ life.Consequently,how to release the activity of the disease has important effects on enhancing patients’ life quality,preventing complications and improving prognosis.The integrated therapies of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and Western Medicine show certain advantages to the active phase of RA in recent years.This paper summarized the causes,mechanisms and the integrated treatments of TCM and western medicine to the active RA at the basis of lectures in recent five years,for the purpose of putting forward the clinical evidence of active stage in RA.
