Objective:Through the measurement of bone mineral density and height of children in normal and small height,and understand the effects of height on bone mineral density of child and adolescent;To correct on bone mineral density with height for age Z-score of child and adolescent in different height,thus excluding height effect on bone mineral density;Set up child bone density of value reference database after height correction in chongqing area,provide a basis for more accurate evaluation clinical bone mineral density of child and adolescent.Methods:9977 healthy children age 5 to 18 years old(4832 male,5145female)were recruited in chongqing.Measurement of all the height of children,using DXA measurement each child BMC and BMD,and bone area,calculate each child BMD age Z,BMD height age Z,BMD haz Z value.Data statistical analysis using SPSS17.0 software.Results:1.The children BMD-Z scores for age and height were positively correlated.2.The bone mineral density Z value of not correction have statistical significance in different height.3.The bone mineral density Z value of height for age Z-score correction change significantly decrease in each age group.Conclusion:1.Height have an effect on bone mineral density,the lower of the mineral density Z value the more short,therefore,need a correction of bone mineral density with height;2.The bone mineral density Z value of height for age Z-score correction change significantly decrease in each age group,eliminate the effect of height on bone mineral density;3.Set up children bone mineral density reference database after height correction in different height of chongqing area.
