Objective : How to better protect the medical interests of patients with chronic diseases,rational use of limited social medical and health resources,and promote the fairness of medical and health services has become a social topic of concern in the context of the high incidence of chronic diseases and the poor balance of medical and health resources allocation in China.Based on the theory of medical sociology,this study takes the teachers of primary and secondary schools in Pu’er City as the research object to understand the prevalence of chronic diseases in this group,grasp their health level,health service demand and the main health problems;to understand the medical seeking behavior with chronic patients,to grasp the health care costs,health resources utilization;and to analyze the characteristics of medical seeking behavior and its influencing factors of chronic patients in primary and secondary school teachers in Pu’er City.Combined with the problems and challenges,puts forward the objective basis for the development of health development plan and strategy for the economically underdeveloped areas in the economically developed areas.Method:Based on the literature research,this paper analyzes the medical seeking behavior of chronic diseases in primary and secondary school teachers in Pu’er City by means of questionnaire and statistical analysis.A stratified cluster sampling method was used to select a total of 14 primary and secondary schools in two prefectural cities in the Pu’er City area.The survey was conducted on the behavior of patients with chronic diseases from March to April in 2016.According to the needs of this study,the questionnaire was designed with reference to The Fifth National Health Service Survey Report and part of the medical treatment related literature content.Combined with method of quantitative analysis and way of qualitative analysis,the results are obtained by simple descriptive statistical analysis,single factor statistical inference analysis and multi factor statistical inference analysis.Result:The prevalence rate of chronic diseases among Pu’er primary and secondary school teachers was 69%;circulatory diseases were high incidence of chronic diseases.Their medical and health services are in great demand,the medical institutions at the county level were the first choice for medical treatment.Most patients through the general outpatient and hospital queuing channels for medical treatment,medical insurance sentinel medical institutions to become the primary consideration of the choice of medical institutions,the basic medical institutions utilization is not high;Patients without time and self-inductance is the main reason for not medical treatment,The medical expenses of chronic diseases are high,medical insurance for urban workers can basically meet the medical needs,but most of the patients with chronic diseases still purchase supplementary medical insurance,the economic burden of disease on the medical behavior is still very large.Conclusion:Health is an important human capital,for the pursuit of health,with high levels of knowledge and health literacy of patients with chronic diseases with medical behavior is more rational and reasonable.However,medical decision-making is the result of a combination of various factors,in which the relatively stable social network brought by the occupation has a great impact on the medical treatment of chronic diseases in primary and secondary school teachers in Pu’er City,group behavior have a positive effect to prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.In addition,China is in the primary stage of socialism,at this stage of the social and medical environment can not fully meet the western economically underdeveloped areas of primary and secondary school teachers of chronic diseases,economic factors in a long period of time to affect the medical behavior of the community,reduce the economic burden of disease,the need for social and individual joint efforts.
