Purpose: To explore the relationship between serum FGF-23 level,klotho level and vascular calcification of maintenance hemodialysis patients,and a better understanding the relationship is expected to evaluate the vascular calcification of maintenance hemodialysis patients that specifically modulate survival strategy.Methods: In this study,we took 126 maintenance hemodialysis patients as the object,kept recording general clinical data on them in detail,and adopt chest and lumbar vertebra X-ray,heart color ultrasound to accurately judge their vascular calcification level.According to the vascular calcification level,patients were divided into no calcification group,mild calcification group,and severe calcification group.We also tested serum FGF-23 level and klotho level to explore the relationship between vascular calcification and serum FGF-23 level,klotho level.Spearman test was used to evaluate the relationship between serum FGF-23 level,klotho level and vascular calcification.And Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the risk factors of vascular calcification.Results: First,this study include 31 cases of patients in no calcification group,56 cases of patients in mild calcification group,and 39 cases of patients in severe calcification group,and there are significant differences in the duration of age,serum albumin,serum phosphorus,i PTH between patients with different degrees of vascular calcification.There are significant differences in serum FGF-23 level and klotho level between patients with different degrees of vascular calcification,P <0.05.Second,the results of Spearman analysis shown that there is a positive correlation between serum FGF-23 level and vascular calcification(r=0.550,P=0.000).while there is a negative correlation between serum klotho level and vascular calcification(r=-0.386,P=0.000).Third,high serum FGF-23 level is independent risk factor that affect vascular calcification of patients(OR = 1.031,95% CI 1.010 ~ 1.052),while high klotho level is protective factor(OR = 0.991,95% CI 0.984 ~ 0.998).Conclusion: For the maintenance hemodialysis patients,the serum FGF-23 level is significantly related with vascular calcificatiol,moreover,serum FGF-23 level and klotho are important factors that affect vascular calcification of maintenance hemodialysis patients.
