| Prostate cancer is a common malignant tumor of urology,it has become a serious threat to the health of male patients.Which has become a widely public health issue in the world.Because of the differentiation,growth and proliferation of prostate cancer cells are dependent on androgen stimulation.Deprivation of prostate cancer cells androgen stimulation can cause tumor cell apoptosis.Any treatment for the removal and inhibition of androgenic activity can be called hormonal therapy.Hormonal therapy plays an important role in the treatment of prostate cancer.According to the duration of treatment,the hormonal therapy can be divided into intermittent hormonal therapy and continuous hormonal therapy.In this paper,based on the animal experimental models,recent clinical trial results and the latest guidelines,the efficacy and side effects of intermittent hormonal therapy and continuous hormonal therapy for prostate cancer were compared and analyzed.In addition,the research progress of intermittent hormonal therapy are reviewed. |
