| The seed of cuminum cyminum L.belongs to Umbelliferae,Cuminum,some places called cumin,in the Tibetan medicine recorded as fragrant celery,in the Uighur medicine recorded as fennel.Native to Iran,Egypt,Ethiopia and India,China has also cultivated in Xinjiang.In the folk of Xinjiang,China Uygur and Kazak,people put the fruit into powder,used as food spices,and the fruit can also be used as medicine.This herb have effect of expelling wind and clearing away cold,warm stomach and tonifying spleen,and dispelling retained water,which cure hernia,clap,testicular swelling,amenorrhea,hiccough with stomach cold syndrome,distention of the stomach,anorexia,stomachache,difficulty of urination,etc.in addition,compound card force cumin tincture which be made from the extract of cumin can cure leucoderma.In the past,many scholars at home and abroad focus on the study of the volatile oil components of cumin seed.Which mainly contains cuminaldehyde,4-aminopyridine,benzofuran and other chemical composition,the study on non-volatile components of cumin seed was relatively few.This paper made more in-depth study on the chemical composition of cumin seed.First,degreasing treatment by Soxhlet extractor with petroleum ether,followed by Soxhlet extraction with methanol.Then,use the silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20,ODS medium pressure column chromatography,ODS Semi-PHPLC and other ways to isolation and purification,a total of 32 compounds were isolation.A total of 27 compounds were confirmed among them by physical and chemical constants and NMR,MS spectrum.,that was Vanillic acid(CL-1),p-Hydroxybenzoic acid(CL-2),Protocatechuic acid(CL-3),p-Coumaric acid(CL-4),cumin acid(CL-5),Dibutyl phthalate(CL-6),4-Methoxycinnamic acid(CL-7),3,5-Dicaffeoylquinic acid methyl ester(CL-8),4,5-Dicaffeoylquinic acid methyl ester(CL-9),Rosin(CL-10),Cuminoside I(CL-11),Cuminses II(CL-12)kaempferol(CL-13),Quercetin(CL-14),Luteolin(CL-15),Apigenin(CL-16),Cuminflavone I(CL-17),Astragalosid(CL-18),Apigenin-7-O-β-D-(6’’-O-acetyl)-glucopyranoside(CL-19),Kaempferol-3-O-β-D-(6’-O-acetyl)-glucopyranoside(CL-20),Kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside(CL-21),Cuminoside II(CL-22),(6R,7E,9R)-9-Hydroxy-4,7-megastigma-dien-3-one(CL-23),Cuminses I(CL-24),Cuminoside A(CL-25),Ursolic acid(CL-26),6β-Hydroxy glycyrrhetinic acid(CL-27),The compounds CL-11,CL-12,CL-17,CL-22 and CL-24 are novel compound,and the compound CL-24 is the new skeleton compound,CL-8,CL-9,CL-10,CL-19,CL-20,CL-21,CL-23,CL-26 and CL-27 were firstly isolated from the genus Cymbidium.In this paper,the main research on the chemical composition of cumin seeds is studied,which is the basis for the study of the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory active components of cumin,enriching the diversity of national drugs,supplementing the drug quality standard and material basis of cumin,Later to more fully develop the medicinal value of cumin. |
