Benefit Analysis Of Two Collutories On Patients Who Suffered Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Complicated With Oral Fungal Infection

ObjectiveIn this study,we compared the benefits of two collutories used on the patients who suffered COPD complicated with oral fungal infection,and provide the basis for better clinical selection.MethodsThe study was a randomized controlled trial,The subjects were 100 patients who suffered COPD complicated with fungal infection in a Grade-A Tertiary Hospital in Zhejiang Province from September 2013 to December 2015.Grouped randomly according to the group number.The experimental group was treated with 0.5%povidone-iodine solution for oral care.The control group was treated with nystatin solution(2 million U nystatin powder dissolved in 2.5%NaHC03 solution)for oral care.The efficacy of oral fungal infection in two groups was observed,the oral comfort of the patients was investigated,and the workload of nurses and the working experience of nurses were counted.Data were collected and processed by SPSS 19.0 software.The difference of P<0.05 was statistically significant.Results1.There were 50 cases in povidone-iodine test group and 50 cases in nystatin control group.There was no significant difference between the two groups in sex,age,disease condition,treatment plan and so on(P>0.05);2.From the view of the efficacy of oral fungal infection,the effect of povidone-iodine group was faster than that of nystatin group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant,P<0.01;3.From the view of patients’ oral comfort feedback,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05);4.Nurses workload statistics,the povidone-iodine group average time was shorter than nystatin group,the two groups had statistical significance(P<0.01);5.Combining nurses’ work experience and preferences,92%(23/25)nurses chosed the iodophor group.ConclusionNystatin solution can benefit patients,but nurses experience poor;0.5%povidone iodine solution with high efficiency can benefit both patients and nurses,and is recommended.Among the two collutories used on the patients who suffered COPD complicated with oral fungal infection,we preferred 0.5%povidone-iodine solution.The 0.5%povidone iodine solution spent nurses’ less working time,had very good benefit in patients in a short time,made nurses’ perfect work experience,and prompted the healthy development of nurse patient relationship.So the 0.5%povidone-iodine solution worths clinical promotion.
