| BackgroundColorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide.Colorectal cancer is also the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death in China.According to the CRC epidemiological studies, the overall incidence of CRC and mortality has been increasing year by year.Decorin(DCN),as a core glycoprotein,is one of the important extracellular matrix components that can inhibit the proliferation and migration of various tumor cells in vitro, such as liver cancer, kidney cancer and Breast cancerand so on.Our previous study demonstrated that DCN can inhibit the in vitro invasive ability of human colorectal adenocarcinoma HCT116 cells in a concentration-dependent manner. The expression of DCN in human colorectal adenocarcinoma and its relationship with clinicopathological data have not been reported. In this study, human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue was used as the study object to further explore the relationship between DCN expression in tissue and pathological parameters of colorectal cancer.ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between the expression of decorin and pathological parameters in human colorectal cancer tissues,to provide new ideas for the treatment and prognosis of clinical solid tumors.MethodIn this study,34 colorectal cancer patients and paracancerous tissue samples from our hospital were used as subjects. The expression of DCN in colorectal cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry.DCN was used in colorectal cancer with image-pro plus software. The semi-quantitative analysis of protein expression in paracancerous tissues and paracancerous tissues was performed. The relationship between the relative expression of DCN and its pathological parameters in colorectal cancer and its adjacent tissues was analyzed by t-test.Result1.13 The relative expression levels of DCN in colorectal cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were(0.066 9±0.040 6)and(0.210 5±0.013 7),respectively.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).2.The relative expression levels of DCN in the colorectal cancer tissues of stage II,III,and IV were(0.108 2±0.0225),(0.062 0±0.0058),and(0.019 2±0.0025)respectively.Both <0.05).3.The relative expressions of DCN in the colorectal cancer tissues with or without lymph node metastasis were(0.046 4±0.0224)and(0.082 6±0.043 9),respectively.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).4.The relative expression levels of DCN in high-,middle-,and low-differentiation colorectal cancer tissues were(0.0759±0.038 0),(0.060 5±0.038 4),(0.018 3±0.001 8),among which poorly differentiated and moderately differentiated The difference between high differentiation was statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between high differentiation and moderate differentiation(P>0.05).5.The relative expression of DCN in colorectal cancer tissues was not correlated with age and sex(P>0.05).ConclusionThe expression of DCN was significantly higher in cancerous tissues than in cancerous tissues. The expression of DCN in colorectal tumors was related to clinical stage and lymph node metastasis. It may be related to the degree of differentiation and not related to age or gender. |
